Wedding Transportation in Denver

A Colorado mountain wedding has a logistics problem nobody warns you about: your guests land at an airport two hours from the venue, at eleven different times, on the same day.

The airport day

Most of the work is not the wedding itself. It is the day before, when relatives arrive from four time zones and need to get from Denver International to a resort town.

Grouping arrivals is what saves the budget. Four guests landing within an hour of each other travel in one vehicle at one flat rate, rather than in four separate rides. Send us the flight list and we will build the schedule around it.

Rates to mountain venues

One way, per vehicle, from Denver International Airport.

Venue area Drive from DEN From
Keystone 1h 48m $499
Copper Mountain 1h 51m $499
Winter Park 1h 30m $499
Vail 2h 10m–2h 45m $550
Breckenridge 2h–2h 30m $550
Beaver Creek 2h 28m $550

Dresses, suits and third rows

The practical constraint on a wedding day is not seats, it is garments. A dress that cannot be folded needs the space that a folded third row provides — 98.8 cubic feet in a Suburban, against 41.5 with all rows in use.

That is a real trade: hang the dress flat, or seat two more people. Decide it when you book, not in the parking lot in heels.

Winter weddings

Colorado's traction law runs September 1 to May 31, and it applies to every guest who rents a car. All-wheel drive alone does not satisfy it, and the fine is $100 plus a $33 surcharge.

Guests who have never driven a mountain pass in snow should not be doing it for the first time in formalwear, on a schedule, in the dark. That is the argument for shuttling everyone rather than letting people self-organize.

Timing the ceremony

Build the pickup time backwards from the ceremony, and add for the season. Peak weekend traffic on I-70 stretches the run to Vail to five hours against a normal 2h 10m.

We hold vehicles for wedding dates well in advance — summer Saturdays and the weeks around holidays book out first, both for us and for every operator in the state.
