Red Rocks Amphitheatre
Red Rocks Car Service from Denver
Getting to Red Rocks is easy. Leaving is the hard part — and that is what this service is actually for.
- Round trip
- $480
- Elevation
- 6,450 ft
- Above Denver
- 1,170 ft
- Capacity
- 9,525 seats
- Season
- March through November
The problem is the exit, not the entrance
There is one road out of the canyon. After a sold-out show, 9,525 people reach for their cars at the same moment, and clearing the lots takes 30 to 45 minutes before you even reach the highway.
Rideshare makes it worse rather than better. Drop-off is allowed at the Upper North Lot, but pickup after the show happens at Jurassic Lot only — one lot, for everybody. Surge runs 2x to 3x in the first minutes after a show, precisely when several thousand people open the app inside the same canyon.
Our driver parks and waits through the set. You walk to the same vehicle you arrived in, and the fare is the one you agreed before the show — $480 for the whole car, both directions, waiting included. Not per person, and not recalculated at 11 PM because the lot is full of people who all need a ride at once.
Read the price twice before comparing
Some operators advertise Red Rocks from around $250, and that number is one way. Concerts do not work one way — you are going home afterwards. Two of those is $500, for a car that leaves after drop-off and has to be booked again for the return. Others sell a round trip at about the same price as ours, so ask what is included.
Us
$480
Round trip, driver waits through the show
Two one-way trips
$500
$250 each way, two separate bookings
With two one-way bookings, the ride home is a second reservation that has to line up with the encore. With ours, the car is already there.
Parking, if you do drive yourself
Parking is included with your ticket — the venue charges nothing extra on the day. The catch is position: lots open 2 hours before doors, the closest one fills first, and the farthest is a 15 to 30 minute walk uphill at 6,450 feet.
Worth knowing: vehicle access to the park ends at 8:30 PM on event days. Arriving late on a summer evening can mean not getting in by car at all.
Altitude, for out-of-town guests
The amphitheatre sits 1,170 feet above Denver, which is already a mile high. Guests flying in from sea level regularly underestimate this — the venue itself advises eating lightly, drinking water and resting before arrival.
The show also involves climbing 70 rows of bench seating. That is a different experience at 6,450 feet than it is at home.
What to bring, what to leave
- Bags must fit under your seat — 18 by 12 inches maximum
- No re-entry once your ticket is scanned, weather and medical exceptions aside
- No glass containers, no hard liquor
- Evenings get cold fast after sunset, even in July — bring a layer
Groups
A Red Rocks night is often a group: a birthday, a company outing, friends flying in for one night. One vehicle for six beats three separate rideshares that arrive separately and leave in surge pricing.
Season runs March through November — 2026 is the venue's 85th concert season. The venue hosted 236 events in 2025, and the popular nights book out weeks ahead. So does transportation.
